MOJAB MO10.0 R-Series 10,000 lb Off-Road Winch

I’ve now had the MOJAB MO10.0 through some genuinely hard trail use, including multiple heavy pulls during recoveries where the truck was down in a river bed and the available anchor points were up above me in the tree canopy.

The winch performed extremely well. Pulling power was strong, operation stayed consistent, and I never ran into any overheating or duty-cycle issues even during repeated, extended pulls. I pushed it hard and it never gave me a reason to question it.

The only issue I ran into was with the clutch operation. My MO10.0 is installed inside a C4 Rock Runner bumper. I can easily reach up and operate the clutch handle, but because the winch is recessed in the bumper, I cannot see the instructions/diagram on the clutch that explain that you need to lift the handle and rotate it about a quarter turn to free spool.

That became noticeable during recoveries because several different people helping with the winch struggled with the clutch the first time they used it. Once I explained that you lift the handle from the 12 o’clock engaged position and rotate it either direction to free spool, everyone understood it immediately.

So the clutch itself works fine, and I understand the reasoning behind the bidirectional design. I think the only improvement would be making the ENGAGED / FREE SPOOL operation more obvious from above for recessed bumper installations where the instruction markings aren’t visible.

That is a usability issue, not a performance issue. Mechanically, the winch did exactly what I needed it to do under hard real-world recovery conditions.

Based on my experience so far, I’m extremely happy with the MO10.0 and would absolutely trust it on the trail.

I've put this Winch through some tough recoveries, and it has exceeded my expectations. It's fast and the compact design fits perfectly without adding unnecessary weight. The build quality is outstanding.
